YAC initiatives
Youth Agroecology Caravan
The Youth Agroecology Caravan (YAC24) is a unique study tour kicking off in September 2024 to connect with inspiring people who are shaping the future of agroecology in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. Forming a group of 25 young farmers and entrepreneurs committed to the development of sustainable agriculture, the caravan will visit farms, collect knowledge and share values related to agroecology through discussions and workshops. It is a huge opportunity for future leading stakeholders of sustainable agriculture to gain in-depth knowledge, skills and network about agroecology in Cambodia.
Youth Living Lab
The Youth Living Lab is a real-world setting in which young farmers and entrepreneurs will collaborate to co-create agroecological innovations. Together they will define and test agricultural and food innovations to meet the challenges of today’s Cambodian food systems.
Youth Farmer Forum
The Youth Farmer Forum provides a platform for participants of the caravan and living lab to connect and share their experience with other stakeholders of agroecology.
YAC Road journey
The YAC Road Journey is an exciting and immersive experience designed to empower and engage youth in the principles and practices of agroecology. This journey brings together young farmers, entrepreneurs, and researchers to travel across Cambodia and South East Asia.
During the journey, the participants will visit agroecological farms, innovative projects, and organizations that are at the forefront of promoting sustainable and regenerative agriculture. The road journey serves as a dynamic learning frame where participants can witness firsthand the impact of agroecological practices, engage in hands-on activities, and participate in interactive workshops and discussions with committed farmers.
